Are Worker Cooperatives a Viable Way to Promote a More Equitable Economy?

Worker Cooperatives were reconsidered in the 1990s but broke back into discussions of economic models in a big way after the 2008 Great Recession. Successful cooperatives have provided unprecedented economic stability, particularly to historically disadvantaged populations, and thus offer a path forward despite the currently extractive and exploitative capitalism that defines our economy.
