Lauren Nixon is a facilitator, trainer, educator, speaker, and curriculum designer who has worked across the realms of environmental equity, food equity, and food policy. Lauren has fifteen years of experience facilitating space and designing programs for innovative organizations and initiatives. Prior to joining The Democracy Collaborative as the Manager of Healthcare Engagement, Lauren developed curriculum and worked as a trainer with FoodCorps, developed curriculum and worked as a facilitator with Get HYPE! Philly, worked as a programming consultant with the Institute for Public Health Innovation and the PG County Food Equity Council, and worked as a speaker and presenter for New Hope Network. Lauren has also worked in the realms of program design, project management, facilitation, and team management with organizations such as Hidden Villa, Urban Nutrition Initiative, and the Free Library of Philadelphia. Lauren holds degrees from The New School and New York University.
