Danny Fisher-Bruns - Manager, Advisory Services
Danny is a facilitator, educator, and organizational change leader. As Manager of Advisory Services at The Democracy Collaborative, he has the great pleasure of working with communities across the country to co-create solutions to challenging and deeply rooted systemic challenges.
Danny applies a practice of human centered design to help organizations from multiple sectors and focus areas work together to achieve shared goals and build a common narrative of change. Since joining The Democracy Collaborative, Danny has supported the development and growth of numerous place-based collaborations ranging in focus from specific strategies such as state-wide impact investing, to cross-sector collaborations between multiple anchor institutions on a city or regional scale. Throughout 2018 and 2019, Danny supported the launch of the Anchor Collaborative Network to accelerate and deepen the impact of anchor collaborative strategies throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Prior to joining The Democracy Collaborative, Danny worked with Seattle Children’s Hospital to build the foundations of inclusive, place-based purchasing and hiring strategies. He has experience working with small businesses and non-profit organizations to implement continuous improvement initiatives, collaborative decision making processes, and programs that foster environmental and social justice. Danny holds an MBA in Sustainable Systems from Presidio Graduate School and a BA in Theater from Knox College.
