How to Grow an Equitable Economy through Anchor Institution Strategies

Mobilizing anchor institutions

Steve Dubb presented on anchor institution strategies and equitable development for a PolicyLink webinar in April 2014.

Anchor institutions — large institutions such as universities, medical centers, utilities, and government agencies that cannot easily move location — are often major employers and economic drivers for cities and regions. This webinar provided specific tools and examples of how the economic power of anchor institutions can be focused to support the goals of equitable, inclusive local and regional development.
