Nicole Brown - Community Development Associate

Nicole recently joined The Democracy Collaborative as an Associate for the Community Development Programs. She has a background in adult education, workshop facilitation and community organizing. Nicole has worked with community based organizations for a decade, in roles that supported educational, social, and economic programming that served residents of distressed neighborhoods in her hometown of New York City. She is passionate about eliminating structural economic and racial inequality, and in her spare time, co-facilitates educational workshops on classism in the U.S.with Class Action, a Boston-based social justice organization. Nicole holds a B.A. in Africana Studies and Sociology from Mount Holyoke College and a M.A. in Education Policy Studies from The George Washington University.

Nicole is excited to now join The Democracy Collaborative team where she can work alongside other change agents committed to disrupting oppression.
