The Transformative Potential of the Growing CWB Movement Webinar
Join The Democracy Collaborative and our practitioner-partners for a 90 minute webinar showcasing the evolution of Community Wealth Building (CWB) in the United States. Community Wealth Building (CWB) is an economic development model that transforms local economies based on communities having direct ownership and control of their assets. It challenges the failing approaches that have been widely accepted in American economic development for too long, and addresses wealth inequality at its core.
In the last few years, and since TDC’s last CWB webinar, communities have continued to advance inspiring CWB action in place, laying the groundwork for local economic change. In this webinar, TDC’s CWB team will offer perspective on how CWB practice is maturing globally and present emerging patterns and enabling conditions in the field. Lead practitioners from places across the US will speak to the various ways in which they are “doing CWB” and the extent to which these efforts are part of a broader strategy for full-scale economic transformation .
